Position Overview:

As a Forklift Operator , you'll be responsible for the safe operation of a 15K forklift, loading, unloading, and storing lumber and building materials—both raw and finished. You'll work within established safety and operating procedures to ensure efficiency and quality at every step.

Major Responsibilities:

Safely operate a 15K forklift with foot and hand controls Load and unload lumber and building materials, ensuring safe stacking and storage Maintain a 6S compliant work area (organization, safety, cleanliness) Build outgoing orders and prepare materials for delivery Inspect materials for quality—secure loose wrapping and remove damaged materials Operate bander and other equipment as necessary Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operation guidelines

What We're Looking For:

Minimum Education :

High school diploma or G.E.D. Forklift Training & Safety Orientation required

Experience :

2+ years' operating HEAVY-duty forklifts 1+ year handling finished building materials in a manufacturing or similar environment (lumber knowledge a plus!)

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance Ability to spend extended periods sitting, stooping, or standing Work is outdoors with seasonal temperature variations and inclement weather

Bonus Skills :

Experience loading/unloading flatbed trailers is a plus!
