In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts and other heavy equipment to handle materials efficiently and accurately. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment while maintaining safety and productivity standards. Duties Operate sit-down forklifts, to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse Perform order picking Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) updates, inventory control, and stock organization Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure machinery remains in optimal condition Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and ensuring proper documentation Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on materials handling tasks and warehouse distribution processes Experience Proven experience operating forklifts, in a warehouse setting Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker equipment is highly desirable Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling Prior experience in shipping & receiving, inventory management, or warehouse distribution is preferred Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting is a plus Strong basic math skills for inventory counts and order accuracy Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, load & unload procedures, and use of pallet jacks or lift trucks Join our team to be part of a vibrant environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork drive success.
