Job Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate, where your energy and precision will drive our logistics operations forward! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment—including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks—to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments with precision. Manage order picking using various equipment such as pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, verifying product placement, and updating warehouse management system records. Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch, inspecting shipments for damages, and ensuring proper documentation. Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on equipment to maintain optimal safety standards and operational efficiency. Handle materials with care during movement, stacking pallets securely on racks or pallets jacks to prevent accidents or damage. Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently, including proper lifting techniques and equipment inspections to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts (reach truck, clamp truck, Hi-Lo) and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for order picking, measurements, and inventory management. Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and shipment processing. Warehouse experience involving shipping & receiving, heavy lifting, and load/unload procedures is highly desirable.
