Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years.
NJFC operates three production facilities:
Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. We are looking for a Rail Dock Forklift Operator to be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a sit-down propane forklift; may use multiple types of attachments for the transport of containers including pallets, drums and bins. Follows all safety and food safety policies and procedures. Responsible for documenting paperwork at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. Neil Jones Food Company Key Responsibilities:
Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority through conversations, communications and actions. Must be able to stack product straight with a smooth and safe manner. Receives inventory and puts away raw product, finished goods and materials on work floor, able to high stack pallets of brite stock in an orderly fashion. Performs daily maintenance checks on assigned forklift following internal procedures. May ensure proper tags and labels are on the palletized product; ability to read labels.
Requirements:
3+ year of experience driving forklifts and similar equipment in various positions e.g. truck dock, rail dock working with finished goods. Forklift certification required. Able to communicate effectively with others. Able to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.
