Job Description

Job Title:
Forklift Operator Job Description This 1st shift Forklift Operator role supports a small, close‑knit team by safely moving materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving activities across multiple buildings. You will operate a sit-down forklift, handle materials throughout the facility, and use basic computer and inventory systems to keep products flowing smoothly. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility and between buildings. Store items in bins, on shelves, or on the floor according to style, size, or material type to maintain an organized warehouse. Pull and fill orders using pull tickets or pick lists and deliver items to the appropriate production or shipping areas. Mark items with identifying codes, numbers, or letters to ensure proper tracking and traceability. Distribute stock and materials to production workers and track all issued materials to maintain accurate usage records. Move materials to different departments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Essential Skills Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse, production, or similar environment. Proven experience with general material handling, including loading, unloading, and staging materials. Experience with order picking, packing, and packaging in a warehouse or distribution setting. Ability to use pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment safely. Basic computer skills, including printing labels and entering data into inventory or shipping systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using Epicor or similar inventory management software is a plus. Experience using RF scanners for picking and inventory is highly beneficial. Experience in shipping and receiving, including loading vendor and customer shipments. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beloit, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
