Job Description

Quad is seeking a safety-focused Forklift Operator to support our technology-driven print and marketing production operations. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move paper, components and finished product across our facilities, accurately load and unload trailers, and stage inventory for digital and print jobs. You'll use scanners and basic warehouse systems to track materials, help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production floor, and follow all OSHA and Quad safety procedures. Quad offers training on advanced equipment, cross-training across departments, and clear paths for growth in a collaborative, innovative culture. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move materials and finished goods Load and unload trailers, pallets, and racks according to schedules and work orders Use scanners or basic warehouse systems to track inventory movement and job materials Stage paper, components, and finished product for print and digital production lines Inspect forklifts before use and report or help resolve maintenance and safety issues Follow OSHA, Quad safety procedures, and facility traffic rules at all times Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and production staging areas Coordinate with production, shipping, and IT-supported systems to meet deadlines Assist with cycle counts and basic inventory control activities Support continuous improvement initiatives in material flow and workplace safety Required Skills Forklift operation (sit-down and/or stand-up) Pallet and material staging in production environments Warehouse inventory and barcode scanning systems Loading and unloading trailers and docks Basic equipment inspection and safety reporting OSHA and warehouse safety compliance Reading work orders and production documentation Material flow and staging for print/production lines Basic computer or RF scanner proficiency Time management in high-volume operations
