Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and materials handling, with the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. This role is essential for ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods within our facility. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment, including cherry pickers and cranes, to move materials safely and efficiently. Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts, cherry pickers, and cranes. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Familiarity with warehouse operations including materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds). Experience using RF scanners for inventory management is preferred. A valid forklift operator certification is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
