To learn more about the Academy, the position, and the full scope of responsibilities, please click here: Director of Development About Army and Navy Academy Founded in 1910, Army and Navy Academy is a private college-preparatory boarding and day school for boys in grades 7-12, located on a historic oceanfront campus in Carlsbad, California. The Academy develops honorable young men through academic excellence, leadership development, character formation, and personal responsibility. The Role Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Development will serve as a strategic partner to Academy leadership and the Board of Trustees in advancing the Academy's philanthropic priorities. This individual will focus on cultivating meaningful relationships with alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends of the Academy; expanding major gift opportunities; strengthening donor stewardship and communications; and partnering with leadership to build a sustainable culture of philanthropy. The successful candidate will be a visible ambassador for the Academy and will help identify opportunities to connect supporters with the mission and long-term strategic vision of the school. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a collaborative, relationship-focused advancement professional with a demonstrated record of success in fundraising, donor relations, advancement leadership within independent schools, higher education, nonprofit leadership, or comparable mission-driven organizations. The successful candidate will bring exceptional relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, professional presence, and the ability to effectively engage with senior leaders, trustees, and donors.
