Job Description

Steamboat Creates is seeking an experienced Development Director to lead fundraising strategy and revenue growth in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This senior leadership position is responsible for growing and diversifying revenue to support our mission and long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Development Director will lead both strategy and execution across major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, memberships, annual giving, donor stewardship, and campaign development. We're looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial fundraiser who has successfully owned revenue goals, built fundraising systems, and cultivated meaningful donor relationships. The ideal candidate can balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution while independently identifying opportunities, setting priorities, and driving results. Qualifications 5+ years of progressively responsible fundraising or development experience Demonstrated success achieving fundraising revenue goals Experience securing major gifts, sponsorships, grants, or other significant philanthropic support Strong donor cultivation and relationship-building skills Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills Passion for arts, culture, creativity, and community
