The mission of Caroline House is "to enable women and children to reach the fullness of their potential through education in English Language and life skills." A not-for-profit sponsored ministry of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Caroline House was founded in 1995. One of its hallmarks is the community spirit among the women and children served, in accord with the values and traditions of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

  • Develop and successfully implement multi-tiered revenue producing fundraising strategies consistent with the mission of Caroline House.
  • Expand donor reach to corporations, foundations and high net worth individuals with individual donations of $10K or more.
  • Manage annual fundraiser plan, a 50 + volunteer staff and events including annual gala, wine tasting, brunch and concert, annual appeal campaign, and giving day.
  • Work in collaboration with Development Committee and Event Chairs to formulate new and innovative fundraising ideas.
  • Promote and provide opportunities for Board engagement in fundraising.
  • Use analytics to identify opportunities for revenue growth and to take a proactive versus reactive response to potential problems.
  • Help promote Caroline House Program through public appearances, and publicity releases.
  • Utilize social media/web content to effectively brand the organization's vision, values and mission.
  • Provide input on annual operating budget and fundraising goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit development, communications, or related field required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in development and fundraising.
  • Ability to set priorities, work well under pressure and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Self-directed with strong ability to plan ahead, to work independently, and set and adhere to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, editing, and writing skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to details, excellent organizational skills and team-oriented work style.
  • Excellent computer skills, including donor Database, Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact, and publishing software.
  • Knowledge of the Fairfield County area.
