A Fundraising Manager manages fundraising for an organization. Develops and implements fundraising strategies that include online fundraising, mail and email campaigns, grant writing and fundraising events. May develop relationships with large donors.
The Director of Development at Arts Garage will drive the organization's development and fundraising strategy and efforts, including cultivating relationships with donors, leading fundraising campaigns and overseeing fundraising events. This individual is responsible for the comprehensive planning, implementation and management of all development activities, including annual giving, major gifts and planned giving. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development, a passion for our mission and the ability to inspire others to support our cause.

President & CEO Duties & Responsibilities may include the following: Work closely with the President & CEO to advance organizational goals and development/fundraising strategies Increase donor retention and overall contributed revenue Cultivate, engage, and expand the individual donor base Identify, cultivate, and develop major-gift prospects Expand and strengthen corporate and foundation relationships Develop and maintain a sustainable, multi-year development pipeline Work to align fundraising with strategic initiatives. Provide tours of Arts Garage for potential donors, partners and stakeholders. Represent Arts Garage in the community, at speaking engagements and in the media to promote its mission and goals.
Lead in the following areas:
Manage & execute the planning, implementation and oversight of development strategies including annual giving, major gifts and planned giving. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors. Create and execute a strategy for a large, sustained base of annual individual donors. Manage the annual fund campaign and online fundraising appeals. Work to create a fund development plan that increases revenue to support Arts Garage's strategic direction. Prepare regular reports on progress in development & fundraising efforts. Identify and develop corporate, community and individual prospects for Arts Garage's development & fundraising priorities. Oversee the administration of the donor mailing list and database, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of donor information. Build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission and fundraising goals. Ensure accurate and timely donor acknowledgments. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Nonprofit Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience working with nonprofits, with a track record of successful donor relations, annual, planned, + major gift giving. Knowledge & Values Comprehensive knowledge of best practice in fundraising Creative and strategic thinker High level of integrity and professionalism Strong understanding of the impact of the Arts on community. Essential Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational and project management skills Must have demonstrated experience using DonorSearch or a comparable donor prospect research and wealth screening platform. Proficient in Office 365, SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task several projects at once Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to project a positive attitude and respond to changing demands and priorities Adapt quickly to a dynamic environment driven by external forces. Bonus percentages will be determined based on fundraising performance and organizational goals, with specific targets and eligibility criteria established annually.
