Job Description

The Associate Director of Development serves in developing and implementing the overall fund development strategy for the organization. The Associate Director of Development will be responsible for working to achieve the organization's fundraising goals and will engage sponsors and potential sponsors in support of new or ongoing service activities.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
Fundraising (75%) Design, implement, and lead organizational fundraising strategies within the annual campaign. Direct donor relations strategies, including qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Assist in analyzing the effectiveness of strategies within the annual campaign. Oversee grant writing efforts, including research, writing, and reporting of grant proposals. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward local clubs, churches, and businesses for sponsorships. Organize and execute fundraising events, including securing event sponsors. Work in partnership with Major Gifts Officer to develop and implement a major gifts program. Attend networking or community events to create opportunities for relationship building. Marketing and Communications (15%) Develop communication strategies that align with organizational goals and amplify brand awareness. Oversee messaging and content creation for newsletter and other affiliate communications. Act as affiliate spokesperson to HFHLS's constituents, the media, and public. Administration and Leadership (10%) Collaborate as a team leader with fundraising and communications staff to ensure success. Create, monitor, and report on the Fund Development Plan and revenue goals. Assist CEO with budget preparations as well as strategic planning and implementation. Attend leadership meetings, and board meetings as requested by CEO. Perform other duties as assigned by CEO.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years' professional fundraising experience. Bachelor's Degree in fundraising related area preferred. Proven track record in designing and managing development related programs. Experience creating and maintaining meaningful and productive working relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience using fundraising software, preferably Raiser's Edge. Ability to write and submit fundraising grants with proven success.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position primarily located in the Eustis office. May be required to work occasional weekend or evening hours for special events. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to be added to company insurance. Salary is $ 50,00 to $65,000 depending on experience. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
