  • 12 per year Flexible paid time off Book club and engagement activities Wellness initiatives Public Service Loan Forgiveness Eligible Employer Classification Non-exempt Reports to Development Manager Summary/Objective The Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing database management including gift and donor data entry and reporting and analysis of donations through Blackbaud RENXT.
The position will also assist in donor recognition; stewardship, development and implementation of events; assistance with fundraising opportunities; and any activities related to the development department. Essential Functions Process all donations and receipt acknowledgements including, but not limited to credit cards, checks, cash, Cars for Homes, grant entry, Gift in Kind, and online donations. Generate and track acknowledgements and tribute letters for all gifts. Manage monthly renewal process of in-house mailer, phone calls, and emails to expiring donors. Manage Blackbaud RENXT data and hygiene. Manage bi-weekly meetings for Development Team. Manage mailing lists, invitations, direct mail correspondence, mail merges, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned. Ensure accuracy and timely reporting to meet department needs. Provide administrative support to development team; including, but not limited to event invitations, cornerstone mailing, Gift in Kind forms, matching gift requests, processing, pledge and payment reminder and other mailings. Provide support for development team events, fundraisers, and volunteer activities. Research and assist with fundraising and grant opportunities. Competencies Passionate about the Habitat for Humanity mission and purpose. Ability to function effectively with a minimum of daily direction and support. Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently in a creative and effective manner. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Excellent time management skills Clear understanding of development goals and objectives Knowledge of cloud-based databases, reporting, and queries, Salesforce is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Well organized, detail oriented, and have strong critical thinking skills; this entails the ability to analyze circumstances, evaluate outcomes, and makes choices in the best interest of the development department and organization. Ability to manage multiple projects, with competing demands, while maintaining a commitment to excellence. Manage monthly renewal process of in-house mailer, phone calls, and emails to expiring donors. Reconcile revenue with accounting department monthly. Manage and distribute fundraising revenue reporting regularly and as needed. Manage the Gift in Kind process for Development. Responsible for all mailing lists including renewals, invitations, direct mail correspondence, mail merges, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned Research and identify new platforms for development team needs. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds on a as needed basis and will occasionally be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time consistent with a typical office environment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, hourly position and the office hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required. Travel Travel, if any, is primarily local during business hours and mileage is reimbursed. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Must obtain Anti-Money Laundering certificate within the first 90 days and maintain annually: training provided by Habitat. Must obtain Safeguarding certificate within the first 90 days and maintain annually: training provided by Habitat.
