Position Summary:
The Development Manager at the Muhammad Ali Center provides administrative and operational support for the development department, supporting the Development Director in day-to-day fundraising execution, donor stewardship, data integrity, and project management. This role is designed to increase team efficiency and ensure that systems are maintained as the department grows.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain donor records, gift processing workflows, acknowledgments, and follow-up tracking. Manage the development calendar, deadlines, meetings, donor visits, and internal coordination. Support donor stewardship activities, including mailings, event logistics, briefing materials, and follow-up. Prepare reports, lists, basic donor research, and meeting materials for the Development Director and the CEO. Track grants, pledges, sponsorships, and fundraising commitments in the CRM. Help maintain clear documentation, filing systems, and internal process guides. Support database hygiene, mailing lists, and basic fundraising analytics. Coordinate with finance and communications staff on gift acknowledgement and campaign-related tasks.
Required Qualifications:
3 Years of experience in nonprofit development, advancement services, or fundraising administration. Strong organizational, project management, and follow-through skills. Experience with CRMs, databases, spreadsheets, and document management systems. Strong written communication and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting major gifts, membership, sponsorships, grants, or museum fundraising. Familiarity donor development cycle and basic stewardship processes.
Physical Requirements:
This role operates within a multi-level facility and requires the ability to navigate the space and assist with exhibit and display setup as needed. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
