Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, the Associate Director of Donor Engagement is responsible for leading and managing strategic fundraising initiatives, advancement operations, donor engagement efforts, and revenue-generating activities that support the mission and long-term sustainability of The Arc Montgomery County.

This position provides oversight of development systems, fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, campaign execution, and advancement communications to strengthen philanthropic support and organizational visibility. The Associate Director of Donor Engagement will work collaboratively across departments to develop and implement fundraising strategies that increase donor engagement, expand giving opportunities, and support organizational growth.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and strategic development professional with strong fundraising, operational, and relationship management experience. This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, initiative, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of six years of progressive fundraising, advancement, or nonprofit development experience.

Demonstrated experience managing fundraising operations, donor engagement initiatives, and advancement strategies.

Strong knowledge of donor database systems, fundraising reporting, and advancement operations.

Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and achieve fundraising objectives.

Experience developing and implementing fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship initiatives.

Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fundraising CRM platforms.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
