Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Charitable Gifts Specialist for a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through advocacy, education, and essential support services. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Marquette, Michigan.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Charitable Gifts Specialist is a strategic fundraising professional responsible for expanding philanthropic support through major gifts, grant development, donor stewardship, planned giving, and community partnerships. This role works closely with organizational leadership, board members, volunteers, and community stakeholders to cultivate meaningful donor relationships and implement sustainable fundraising strategies that support long-term organizational growth. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement fundraising strategies including major gifts, annual giving, grants, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and donor stewardship
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, businesses, and community partners to grow philanthropic support
Partner with executive leadership and board members to advance fundraising priorities and future campaign initiatives
Create donor communications, stewardship activities, fundraising events, and engagement opportunities that strengthen long-term relationships
Maintain donor records, fundraising metrics, and reporting using CRM systems while monitoring fundraising performance
Collaborate across departments to expand community engagement, volunteer involvement, and organizational visibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting fundraising, donor relations, grants, major gifts, planned giving, or related development initiatives
Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders
Experience preparing donor communications, proposals, stewardship materials, or fundraising campaigns
Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems and fundraising reporting
Passion for supporting a mission-driven organization through strategic philanthropy and community engagement
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
