Job Description

Women's Care Center |Twin Cities area with office in Anoka, Minnesota Women's Care Center is the nation's largest pregnancy resource center, results-driven, and committed to running the mission with strong business practices. Founded in South Bend in 1984 by a Catholic Notre Dame professor, Women's Care Center now serves 45,000 women annually through 39 centers in 12 states to reach women with compassionate care and the opportunity to choose life. We are seeking a highly motivated Development Director to own and deliver fundraising results across the Twin Cities region. This is not a traditional desk job. It is a high-impact opportunity with significant ownership, variety, flexibility, entrepreneurship, and accountability. You will inherit a strong donor base, successful fundraising events, and tremendous opportunity for continued growth.
What You'll Do:
Own and Deliver Fundraising Results:
Take full ownership of fundraising growth, donor engagement, revenue goals, and a healthy, forward-thinking plan to match center client growth.
Execute and Close Major Gifts:
Personally build and manage a strong portfolio of major gift opportunities, make confident asks, and close meaningful gifts.
Lead Successful Fundraising Events:
Own the strategy, planning, donor engagement, execution, follow-up, and financial success of local events.
Grow Community Relationships:
Build strong connections with donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, social organizations, and community leaders.
Create New Opportunities:
Proactively identify prospects, open doors, strengthen relationships, and turn community connections into mission investment.
Maintain Strong Accountability:
Consistently track donor activity, next steps, asks, and progress through DonorPerfect and established development systems. This position may be structured as full-time or with a flexible schedule for the right candidate. Some regional travel is required. You'll Thrive in
This Role If You Are:
Passionate about Women's Care Center mission. Competitive, motivated, and energized by clear goals. A committed individual who is comfortable with calling on Catholic churches and their parishioners (currently ~90% of our funding comes from Catholic sources). An experienced fundraiser, salesperson, or relationship builder with a record of results. Confident making direct, meaningful financial asks. Naturally warm, engaging, and skilled at building trust. Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable owning outcomes. Highly organized and disciplined in managing relationships and follow-up.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required Experience in sales, and/or marketing preferred, but we are looking for someone passionate and personable. Training is provided. Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships with diverse constituents. Proactivity and a self-starter. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and problem-solve. Excellent communication skills. Ability to thrive and work effectively, independently and as part of a team.
