Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Director of Mission Advancement to inspire generosity, cultivate transformational donor relationships, and help form the next generation of Catholic priests. This is more than a fundraising position—it's an opportunity to advance the mission of the Church and leave a lasting legacy. Position Summary The Director of Mission Advancement provides visionary leadership for fundraising, donor relations, annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, grants, stewardship, and advancement communications. This role builds meaningful relationships with benefactors while leading strategies that ensure the Seminary's long-term philanthropic sustainability. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute annual and long-term fundraising strategies. Strategic Development & Advancement Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospective benefactors. Lead annual appeals, campaigns, planned giving, grants, and donor stewardship. Oversee donor communications, marketing, and engagement events. Manage portfolios current and prospective benefactors through cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and relationship management. Supervise the Donor Relations & Marketing Coordinator. Partner with Seminary leadership to advance mission priorities. Track fundraising performance using donor CRM systems and analytics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of fundraising, advancement, or nonprofit leadership experience preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Experience with donor database/CRM systems. Practicing Catholic committed to supporting the mission of the Catholic Church and the Seminary. Other Qualifications Collaborative and mission-driven leader with strong relationship-building and communication skills. Strong organizational skills, initiative, discretion, and attention to detail. Ability to strategically manage multiple priorities, donor relationships, fundraising initiatives, and organizational goals simultaneously. Passion for the mission of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary and the ability to communicate that mission effectively. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities and donor travel Why Join Us?
