Job Description

Position Summary:
The Development Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the fundraising and donor engagement activities of the organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated individual who is passionate about advancing democratic integrity and civic participation in Missouri.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accurate and timely records and processing donations as they come in. Assist in the preparation of donor communications, including thank-you letters, email campaigns, and general outreach. Assist in basic income and expense tracking by uploading detail into accounting software. Support fundraising events, including planning, logistics, and event staffing. Manage meeting agendas, notes, and action items. Conduct research on prospective donors and grant opportunities, and create memos as needed. Collaborate with staff to implement fundraising strategies and campaigns. Provide administrative support to the development team as needed. Support the Call Time process for the CEO. Coordinate with volunteers as needed for donor communications, events, and other fundraising needs. Assist with scheduling and managing the CEO's Fundraising calendar, where applicable.
Qualifications:
2 year degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Google Workspace and donor management software (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce) preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Passion for civic engagement, voter advocacy, and integrity in governance. Prior experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or administrative support is a plus. Additional Requirements Flexible and reliable transportation. Willingness to work some weekend and evening hours
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
