The director of development will work to achieve fundraising goals, maintain donor relationships and cultivate new support throughout the community to help the organization reach our goals. The successful applicant will build lasting relationships with supporters and keep them informed on how their financial input is making the world a better place. Preferred candidates will be self-motived, deadline-driven multitaskers.
Director of Development Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the Executive Director to create and implement a fundraising plan. (with Board approval) Collaborating with the Executive Director to develop marketing and social media strategies for fundraising. Furnishing board with regular progress reports. Collaborating with a network to identify and build relationships with new donors. Maintaining relationships with existing sponsors. Obtaining financial support from individuals and organizations. Managing fundraising and special events. Generating development materials such as grants and case statements. Responsible for data entry and gift processing.
Director of Development Requirements:
Bachelor's degree Development experience. Community minded and passion for the mission of CCM. Excellent computer skills. Proficient with social media platforms. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently. Available to work occasional weekends and evenings. The Director of Development would report to the Executive Director. The ED would maintain all current responsibilities of managing day-to-day operations of organization, staff, volunteers, programs and accounting.
