Exempt, Full-Time Mission The mission of the Latino Center of the Midlands is to cultivate generations of engaged, thriving Latinos through educational foundations, workforce development and leadership opportunities. Position Summary The Latino Center of the Midlands (LCM) seeks a relationship-driven and highly organized Director of Advancement to lead the organization's fundraising efforts and help diversify contributed revenue. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the newly created Director of Advancement will be responsible for building and managing LCM's individual giving program, coordinating fundraising operations, strengthening donor engagement, leading major gift cultivation, and overseeing Advancement communications and events. This position will play a central role in advancing LCM's mission by developing the systems, relationships, and strategies necessary to support long-term philanthropic growth. The Director of Advancement will work closely with staff, board members, consultants, donors, and community partners to expand LCM's base of support and build a sustainable culture of philanthropy.

Launch and manage donor cultivation and patron engagement initiatives, including The Green Circle giving program Develop and execute annual fundraising campaigns and appeals, leading team members who contribute expertise in print and digital communications. Coordinate donor stewardship and recognition activities. Build and manage donor engagement strategies designed to expand LCM's community of supporters. Develop donor journeys that move supporters from initial engagement to deeper levels of investment. Track donor engagement and giving trends to inform fundraising strategy in the organization's CRM. Major Gifts & Philanthropic Partnerships Partner with the CEO to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects. Develop prospect profiles, cultivation plans, and donor strategies. Coordinate donor meetings, follow-up, and stewardship activities. Support campaign, leadership, and board giving initiatives as appropriate. Maintain an active donor pipeline and prospect tracking system. Advancement Operations & CRM Management Serve as the primary administrator of LCM's donor database (Little Green Light). Support database optimization engagement with StreamlineIQ Ensure data integrity, gift tracking, reporting accuracy, and donor record management. Develop and maintain fundraising systems, protocols, and standard operating procedures. Implement donor segmentation and move management practices. Produce regular fundraising reports and dashboard metrics for leadership and the board. Institutional Giving Coordination Serve as the primary internal liaison to external grant-writing consultants. Lead cultivation and in-person institutional donor communications, when possible, to support grants revenue. Working with program staff, gathering programmatic and organizational information needed to support grant applications and reports. Maintain institutional donor records and funding histories. Work with leadership and program staff to identify institutional funding opportunities. Cultivate and expand relationships with corporate and business sponsors while developing and implementing an annual strategy for sponsorship solicitation, engagement, and stewardship. Advancement Communications Partner with communications staff to develop donor-focused communications and fundraising materials. Collaborate on annual appeals, donor newsletters, impact reports, stewardship materials, and fundraising campaigns. Ensure fundraising messaging aligns with organizational priorities and strategic goals. Support the Advancement of compelling donor stories, testimonials, and impact narratives. Events & Community Engagement Lead Advancement-related event strategy and implementation. Manage donor cultivation events, stewardship gatherings, and patron engagement opportunities. Support fundraising efforts related to the annual Destino Gala and other special events. Take the lead role in implementing an annual "Power Hour" ask event in support of LCM's Green Circle individual giving program. Ensure events serve as opportunities for donor acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship, integrating events into the overall fundraising strategy and communications calendar. Coordinate board and volunteer involvement in fundraising events and activities. Board & Volunteer Engagement Support the CEO and Board in fundraising activities. Assist with Advancement committee meetings and initiatives. Provide board members with fundraising tools, materials, and talking points. Track donor introductions, referrals, and engagement opportunities generated through board networks. Take the lead in managing board participation as "Community Messengers" in LCM's Green Circle individual giving program. Supervisory Responsibilities This position oversees the communications team and manages data operations. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 5 years in a fundraising role, ideally in a direct, front-line fundraising role. Demonstrated success in relationship-building, community engagement, nonprofit leadership, fundraising, communications, public affairs, program management, or a related field. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Experience building authentic relationships across diverse communities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to the mission of the Latino Center of the Midlands. Must reside in the greater Omaha area. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a nonprofit environment. Experience with fundraising, donor relations, philanthropy, Advancement operations, or external relations. Familiarity with CRM/database systems. Experience planning events, managing partnerships, or coordinating complex projects. Experience working with boards, volunteers, or community stakeholders.
