Header Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and strategic Development (Fundraising) Manager to lead our organization's efforts in cultivating meaningful relationships, securing vital funding, and expanding our community impact. Header Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals, utilizing data collection and research to identify new opportunities. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners through personalized engagement and stewardship. Plan, coordinate, and oversee fundraising events that maximize visibility and donor participation while managing budgets effectively. Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and estate planning entities such as wills and trusts. Manage digital marketing campaigns across platforms like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, WordPress, and social media channels to increase awareness and support for organizational initiatives. Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce and Raiser's Edge to track donor interactions, analyze giving patterns, and generate reports for strategic planning. Lead public relations efforts to enhance the organization's profile within the community through media outreach, social media management, and partnership development. Coordinate volunteer management efforts for special events or ongoing programs to foster community involvement. Oversee database management of donors' information ensuring accuracy in records related to fundraising activities. Collaborate with internal teams on marketing campaigns that highlight program successes and upcoming initiatives. Header Experience Proven experience in nonprofit development or fundraising roles with a track record of successful grant writing, proposal development, and donor cultivation. Strong background in event planning, events management, and digital marketing strategies including email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact. Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge for data collection, relationship management, and reporting purposes. Excellent negotiation skills combined with strategic planning abilities to maximize fundraising outcomes. Knowledge of nonprofit management principles along with experience working within university settings or similar educational environments is preferred. Experience in social media management and marketing campaigns across various digital platforms is highly desirable. Understanding of wills, trusts & estate law as it pertains to estate planning donations is a plus but not mandatory. The Development Manager is a key member of WBGO's fundraising team, responsible for managing a portfolio of mid-level and major donors. This portfolio represents a significant source of contributed revenue and plays a critical role in supporting the station's long-term sustainability and mission. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Development Manager will focus on cultivating, stewarding, and growing donor relationships through strategic, personalized engagement. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration across departments including programming, marketing, and finance, and a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, creatively strategic, and has a track record of success working in the arts and culture space.

$79,999.21 - $99,999.92 per year
