Job Description

Job Summary:
Support the mission of A New Leaf through the execution of multiple development strategies to fund programs, operations, endowments, and special campaigns. The MoPR will oversee a portfolio of current and prospective donors, with an emphasis on increasing the base of support from annual and major gift givers. In addition, the MoPR will provide collaboration and support in long-term fundraising strategies including capital campaigns, endowment campaigns, and a planned giving program in accordance with the A New Leaf's mission. Essential Functions 1. Proactively implement the principles of fundraising throughout all stages the donor development cycle. 2. Actively engage in a comprehensive development program including annual giving, major gifts, grant writing, capital and planned giving 3. Demonstrate financial responsibility by working within a budget and meeting fundraising objectives 4. Manage assigned projects coordinating the work of peers and setting deadlines 5. Track and manage key fundraising milestones 6. Maintain accurate financial and donor records 7. Provide accurate written and oral reports as requested 8. Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned and within the scope of demonstrated competencies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive equally in a team oriented or autonomous environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines through good planning, scheduling and follow-through.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to comfortably multi-task and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Good problem-solving skills, sound decision-making skills, self-confidence, initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity, strategic thinking skills, and highly organized.
  • Grant writing experience preferred
  • Experience in cultivating and securing major gifts preferred
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred
  • Five to seven years minimum related experience in similar position
  • Must have a documented track record of acquiring individual and corporate gifts and cultivating and soliciting major gifts, acquiring strong foundation support, special events and direct mail (annual appeal).
  • Must have a strong knowledge of the entire donor development life cycle-(identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship).
  • Sophisticated knowledge of annual, major gifts and planned giving principles.
