We are seeking a Development Director to continue the success experienced over the past several years in establishing financial stability. Experienced fundraisers who are motivated, outgoing, persuasive, and flexible will be successful in this role. Angels' Place has accreditations from NAEYC and PANO, with a 4 Star rating from PA Keystone STARS, a Silver Badge from Guide Star and 4-Star Rating by Charity Navigator. With these accolades, the Development Director is well positioned to create a persuasive verbal and written case for supporting our multi-generational programs.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
As a strategic leader, the Development Director designs and manages revenue and engagement strategies while partnering with the Executive Director and Board to ensure long-term growth. This role oversees daily fundraising, cultivates high-level donor relationships, leads capital campaigns, and integrates marketing to elevate the organization's public impact.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish, lead, and manage all processes related to the development goals.
- Responsible for representing and presenting on behalf of Angels' Place at events and organizations throughout the city.
- Create and implement a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising plan to increase philanthropic support for the organization.
- Have a strong understanding and ability to provide oversight and input into budgeting, marketing, communications, event management, and volunteer engagement.
- Serve as the primary contact for all donors across the full funding portfolio.
- Create a calendar of events, appeals and campaigns to refine and expand the current annual fundraising plan with quantifiable goals, objectives, and timelines.
- Expand contributed revenue opportunities by stewarding existing donors and cultivating new relationships with corporate, foundations, government, and individual donors to create meaningful partnerships.
- Plan donor recognition events that provide additional opportunities for donors to build relationships with leadership.
- Implement all elements of the existing grants calendar for foundation and corporate grant relationships to meet budgeted foundation revenue, writing all proposals and reports, and submitting in advance of deadlines.
- Generate a development dashboard and reports against revenue and campaign targets tracking progress with Staff/Board monthly, course correcting as needed.
- Identify and formally qualify, new major and planned gift prospects by developing and executing short- and long-range strategies, producing a continuous stream of donors capable of making significant gifts.
- Maintain an individual portfolio of major and planned gift prospects, maintaining frequent contact with prospects.
- Conduct in person visits with prospects and donors annually.
- Initiate informal individual and business monetary solicitations annually.
- Maintain strong lines of communication with colleagues in programs and administration, donors and volunteers to ensure effective synergy in achieving fundraising goals and objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least two years of experience in development, fundraising, sales and marketing, and/or public relations.
- Requires regulatory clearances, health assessment and TB test.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated success in raising capital, program support, planned giving and endowment gifts.
- Proven success working in a multifaceted development environment.
- Excellent written and communication skills with an engaging, genuine, and mature personal style.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience using CRM software such as Donor Perfect or Raiser's Edge, etc.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
