Established in 1975, Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is a Community Health Center in Central Washington State serving our communities through holistic and integrated team-based care. Our mission is to improve quality of life and equity in our communities by providing accessible and integrated health and social services, ending homelessness and offering unique learning opportunities for students of health professions. Our Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant research, development, and writing, including federal, state, and foundation awards. Demonstrated experience with federal grants (HRSA, SAMHSA, HUD, CDC, NIH). Working knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), NOFOs, and compliance requirements Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations and program requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant research tools. Master's degree may substitute for experience. Must not be excluded from federal or state healthcare programs.
Overview:
The Development Director leads YNHS's grant development strategy and funding growth efforts, with primary responsibility for identifying, securing, and sustaining public and private grant funding. This role serves as the organization's lead strategist and author for competitive grant applications, with a strong emphasis on federal funding opportunities. This position works closely with executive leadership to advance YNHS's financial sustainability and mission impact.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead grant prospecting strategy and maintain funding pipeline. Serve as lead author for competitive federal and foundation proposals. Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and regulations. Coordinate cross-functional teams for proposal development. Manage grant lifecycle, including reporting and compliance. Maintain tracking systems and improve grant processes. Remote work may be considered based on knowledge of the community.
