This is a people-centered role for someone who genuinely cares about helping others and enjoys networking, building relationships, attending events, and connecting with people by phone and in person. About Us The O'Neill Foundation of Hope, a 501c3 nonprofit organization was started in 2022. In the past 4+ years, your generosity has allowed us to help over 400 families & individuals experiencing significant hardships. Our continued mission is to give others a renewed sense of hope in God, in Jesus, & a hope in a brighter future. We provide all types of support (financial & otherwise) to the individuals & families who need it most. Each week, we help at least 3-4 families/individuals who are experiencing significant & unforeseen hardship(s) also operate our Houses of Hope program. Responsibilities Raise funds and secure sponsorships for weekly foundation initiatives and Houses of Hope programs Reach out to businesses, donors, and community members for financial support Build and maintain meaningful donor and community relationships Develop new corporate and community partnerships Assist with fundraising events, sponsorship campaigns, grant writing and outreach efforts Increase awareness of the foundation and its mission Research grant and fundraising opportunities Organize donor communication, follow-up, recognition, and appreciation Track fundraising activity, relationships, commitments, and results Ideal Candidate Comfortable asking individuals and businesses for donations and sponsorships Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable making phone calls and following up consistently Organized, dependable, positive, and self-motivated Enjoys meeting new people and attending community events Able to connect with individuals from many different backgrounds Fundraising, nonprofit, sales, marketing, or community outreach experience is preferred Previous nonprofit fundraising experience is a significant advantage Passionate about helping others and making a positive community impact Position Expectations This position is designed to generate measurable growth in donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and community awareness. Formal one, three, and six-month reviews will evaluate fundraising activity, organization, communication, relationship development, and overall results. Fundraising goals and expectations will be established at the beginning of employment. Continued employment will depend upon the individual's ability to generate sustainable financial support and overall value for the foundation. We are looking for someone with a kind heart who genuinely cares about people and believes in bringing hope to families facing difficult circumstances. Additional salary growth may be available based on performance and results.
