Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Development & Events Director. The Development & Events Director will help Bridget's House (a ministry of Ripple Effect Inc.) grow its community of supporters, increase financial resources, and create meaningful opportunities for individuals, churches, businesses, and community organizations to invest in the mission. This part-time position will have three primary areas of responsibility: Planning and leading fundraising and community events, including the inaugural Bridget's House Gala Building and cultivating relationships with donors, local businesses, churches, and community partners Helping establish the relationships and development foundation needed for the future expansion of Bridget's House The Development & Events Director will work closely with the Executive Director and will play an important role in preparing Bridget's House for a future capital campaign as the ministry expands its housing capacity through the development of additional homes. This is a relationship-centered position. The successful candidate will be passionate about the mission of Bridget's House and able to connect people with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of mothers and children. Duties 1. Events & Fundraising Experiences The Development & Events Director will take primary responsibility for planning and executing Bridget's House fundraising events. Lead planning for the annual Bridget's House Gala, including establishing timelines, coordinating logistics, securing sponsors, and managing event details. Develop and cultivate gala sponsorship opportunities with local businesses, churches, and individuals. Coordinate event committees, volunteers, vendors, and other event partners as needed. Help develop meaningful and creative fundraising opportunities within events. 2. Community Partnerships & Relationship Development Build a strong network of individuals and organizations who want to support the mission of Bridget's House. The goal is to develop long-term relationships rather than one-time transactions. Identify and cultivate relationships with local businesses, churches, civic organizations, foundations, and community leaders. Develop opportunities for businesses and churches to become ongoing Bridget's House partners. Create sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with each organization's interests and resources. 3. Donor Development & Fundraising Work alongside the Executive Director to grow and strengthen Bridget's House's donor base. The Development & Events Director will work closely with the Executive Director on major donor relationships and significant asks, rather than independently managing all major gift activity. Identify prospective donors and supporters. Build relationships with individual donors and families who have an interest in the mission. Assist with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Qualifications The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, connector, and fundraiser who believes deeply in the mission of Bridget's House. Warm, personable, and comfortable meeting new people. Preferred Experience Nonprofit fundraising Event planning Community relations Sales or business development Donor development Church or ministry leadership Corporate/community partnerships Public relations or communications Capital campaign fundraising A college degree is helpful but not required if the candidate demonstrates strong relationship-building, fundraising, organizational, and communication skills. $30,000.00 per year
