Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Development and Donor Impact . In this vital role, you will lead fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnership efforts in support of the organization's strategic plan while cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, you will help expand philanthropic support, strengthen donor relationships, increase community visibility, and advance mission-driven growth. This position will spearhead fundraising initiatives, enhance donor stewardship, and elevate the organization's presence through innovative marketing, public relations, and storytelling strategies. The Director of Development and Donor Impact will play a key role in securing vital funding, fostering community connections, and developing impactful programs that deepen donor engagement and support long-term sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-focused leader to help shape the future growth and community impact of the organization. Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to establish and achieve ambitious annual fundraising goals aligned with the organization's strategic plan.
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and planned giving donors through annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and special events.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and point of contact for donors, sponsors, community partners, and prospective supporters, cultivating meaningful relationships that foster long-term engagement and investment in the mission.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors while proactively pursuing new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Lead proposal development and grant writing efforts, including donor proposals, sponsorship packages, grant applications, impact reports, and other development materials.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop compelling storytelling, marketing collateral, digital communications, email campaigns, social media content, and public relations initiatives that increase visibility and donor engagement.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events from concept through evaluation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and exceptional donor experiences.
- Manage and maintain donor database systems, ensuring accurate records of donor interactions, gifts, campaign performance, and fundraising activities.
- Track, analyze, and report on fundraising results, donor engagement metrics, and campaign effectiveness to inform strategy and support organizational decision-making.
- Monitor development budgets and fundraising expenses to ensure the effective and responsible use of resources while meeting revenue objectives.
- Represent the organization through community meetings, presentations, networking opportunities, and public events to strengthen partnerships and expand organizational reach throughout Oklahoma.
- Travel locally as needed to meet with donors, sponsors, community partners, and event participants.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance in support of organizational operations and fundraising objectives.
Job Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience in nonprofit leadership or fundraising may be considered in lieu of formal education. Experience Minimum of 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, or external affairs. Demonstrated success securing funding from individuals, corporations, foundations, and/or government entities. Experience in grant writing, donor communications, and proposal development. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns. Familiarity with donor databases/CRM systems and fundraising reporting tools. Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a passion for mission-driven work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations. Ability to analyze data, evaluate trends, and adjust strategies accordingly. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business technologies. Licenses and Certifications Valid driver's license required. Ability to travel locally as needed. Additional Requirements Ability to communicate effectively and present information to individuals and groups. Mobility to travel to donor meetings, events, and off-site locations. Ability to operate standard office equipment and technology.
