This position develops and implements strategies that strengthen relationships with individual, corporate, foundation, and community partners while advancing La Casa's mission and values. The Director collaborates closely with the Executive Director, Leadership Team, Board, and staff to diversify revenue, steward donors, manage communications, oversee grant development, maintain donor systems, and elevate La Casa's public presence. The ideal candidate is relationship-centered, strategic, organized, collaborative, and committed to equity and community-centered fundraising. Essential Responsibilities Fund Development & Strategy Lead and implement La Casa's annual fundraising plan and contribute to long-term development strategy. Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, foundation, and community donors. Diversify revenue streams through annual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, planned giving, grants, and emerging fundraising opportunities. Partner with the Executive Director to establish fundraising goals, evaluate progress, and recommend improvements. Engage board members, staff, students, and volunteers in fundraising efforts and donor engagement. Serve as a community ambassador, building authentic relationships that expand support for La Casa. Donor Stewardship Develop and implement donor stewardship and acknowledgment strategies. Build meaningful relationships with current, prospective, and lapsed donors. Coordinate donor recognition, appreciation activities, tours, and engagement opportunities. Train and support board members in donor stewardship and fundraising best practices. Marketing & Communications Manage La Casa's brand, website, social media, newsletters, fundraising appeals, and marketing materials. Develop compelling content that highlights organizational impact and fundraising priorities. Coordinate media relations and public messaging. Produce the Annual Impact Report in partnership with leadership. Support communications that strengthen connections with donors, students, families, and community partners, including bilingual communications when appropriate. Grants Lead grant prospecting, writing, submission, tracking, reporting, and stewardship. Collaborate with program staff to identify funding priorities and gather required data, stories, and outcomes. Maintain grant calendars and ensure timely submissions and reporting. Keep leadership informed of grant opportunities and awards. Donor Database & Operations Maintain accurate donor records and reporting in Little Green Light (LGL). Monitor donor trends and fundraising metrics to inform strategy. Coordinate donor information between finance and development systems. Assist with fundraising budgets, policy updates, and delegation of administrative support as needed. Leadership & Organizational Collaboration Serve as an active member of the Leadership Team. Participate in strategic planning, organizational decision-making, and board meetings. Communicate fundraising progress, priorities, and organizational updates across teams. Foster collaboration, shared leadership, equity, and transparency throughout the organization.
