Fort Worth, TX Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $50,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Grant management Microsoft Excel Grant writing Administrative experience Social media platforms Managing budgets in a finance role Bachelor's degree Fundraising Nonprofit financial management Productivity software Organizational budget management Senior leadership Full Job Description This position will provide administrative and operational oversight in all areas of the Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. annual Goodfellows campaign in providing holiday assistance for needy Tarrant County families. This position acts as the first point of contact for all operational decisions and inquiries. Responsibilities
  • Work on a year-round basis with individuals, civic clubs, churches, communities, businesses, service agencies and charitable trusts to raise awareness of the charity's work, aims and goals. This includes making personal appearances and accepting donations from groups.
  • Lead efforts to develop fundraising revenue streams.
  • Conduct social media campaign across multiple platforms
  • Develop promotional materials for fundraising use.
  • Manage application for funding from such organizations as the Sid W. Richardson Foundation, Amon Carter Foundation, The Morris Foundation, Lockheed-Martin AERO Club, Fash Foundation.
  • Provide the Board of Directors of the Fund with a budget and input as it relates to income and expenses for the upcoming campaign year.
  • Prepare reports as necessary for the Board of Directors and any agencies acting in partnership with the Fund.
  • Maintain a database of donor email and address lists and when requested, provide a written receipt to the donor.
  • Provide timely, concise donor text recognition listings to newspaper editors and graphics personnel to be published throughout the holiday months of the campaign.
  • Be responsible for all donation deposits to the bank account and reconcile the account monthly with the Fund's treasurer.
  • Act as the Fund contact for any service agency working in the role of qualifying the applicant's information to meet the Fund criteria. This includes help in locating year-to-year office space, providing telephone and computer support, printing and providing applicant applications, providing courier and mail service support and marketing support though the resources of the newspaper.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other social service agencies that serve underprivileged children/families
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the Board of Directors on any questionable issue or operational procedure.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Passion for providing for the underserved families and children of Tarrant County. Commitment to value, maintain, and promote the history and legacy of the 110-year-old Goodfellow Fund. Excellent interpersonal skills. Working with staff, community leaders, volunteers, donors, and vendors. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to plan and execute all components required for a successful campaign. Understanding of development software and react to the ever-changing needs of the Goodfellow Fund website and the associated operational processes required to run the campaign. Strong financial background with the ability to set and maintain a budget and adhere to a plan for a 2-yeaar debt free campaign. Ability to write grant requests, work with grant administrators and submit the volume of paperwork required to obtain many of the grants. Working knowledge of Microsoft office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Social media fluency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years nonprofit leadership level experience preferred.
  • Strong financial background in a nonprofit setting.
