EOX's mission is to expand employee ownership in the United States by establishing and supporting a network of independent nonprofit State Centers for Employee Ownership (State Centers). We see employee ownership as a critical tool to creating wealth and income equity, increasing community wealth, and fostering a more vibrant, participatory economy. State Centersserve as the central hub for resources on employee-ownership for businesses in their state. Their primary mission is to educate business owners, their advisors (lawyers, bankers, accountants, wealth advisors), and community leaders on the social and business benefits of employee ownership. Our overarching goal is to substantially increase the number of employees who own shares of stock in the company where they work. EOX's current budget is approaching $3 million. EOX is a small and nimble organization with a collaborative leadership model. Position Overview Reporting to the Executive Director, the Fundraising Operations Manager will drive strategy and execute fundraising goals outlined in the EOX Development Strategic Plan. They will be solely responsible for all fundraising database work, including but not limited to implementing the database, updating the database, and day to day usage of the database to drive fundraising activity by the Executive Director and Board of Directors. There is room for growth in this position. Over time, this person will cultivate relationships with EOX stakeholders, existing donors, and potential donors. Responsibilities CRM Management and Donation Platforms Build out the CRM to align with the initiatives and goals outlined in the Development Strategic Plan. Create automations and workflows to enhance fundraising processes. Lead the strategic management and maintenance of the organization's CRM database, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective donor engagement. Oversee all aspects of CRM management, including donor database administration, data analysis, reporting, segmentation, and gift tracking. Manage the organization's digital fundraising infrastructure, ensuring donation platforms are secure, user-friendly, and aligned with fundraising objectives. Manage and optimize all organizational donation platforms, ensuring a seamless donor giving experience and accurate gift processing including EOY receipts Oversee and document the grant research and submission process in collaboration with the Executive Director and grant writing contractor. Ensure all information and actions are reflected in the CRM. Fundraising Strategy in alignment with the EOX Development Strategic Plan Intentional Operations Implement the EOX Annual Fund Plan As necessary implement fundraising for special projects and/or capital campaigns Measures and analyzes fundraising results to inform effective decision-making Assist in budget development for organizational fundraising efforts and provide projections and recommendations Fundraising Focused Leadership Robust and comprehensive support for the EOX Executive Director in accomplishing fundraising goals including but not limited to: Creating and managing fundraising workflows that support the Development Strategic Plan. Preparing for and following up after the Executive Director's fundraising touchpoints. For example, draft talking points, approach strategies and prospect research profiles in advance of donor meetings and events. Creating and pulling fundraising lists in the CRM. Support Board and other EOX leaders in fundraising efforts. Prepare quarterly and annual reports and financial analyses for the Executive Director as well as presentations for the Board of Directors on progress toward financial goals and provide guidance and direction to achieve objectives Direct Communication Develop a deep understanding of the EOX State Center network and programming provided to articulate the impact for funders in written and oral communications Work with the EOX team to create and implement a clear annual fund message. Educate EOX stakeholders on this annual fund message and work with EOX staff to create collateral and tools to communicate this message. Prepare all donor communications including prospective donor collateral, thank you letters and other follow-up and stewardship communications Effective Donor Cultivation Implement and manage EOX's moves management system. Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to move their relationships through our ABCD moves management process. Implement, update, manage and use the EOX fundraising CRM. Create tailored fundraising strategies and campaigns for each fundraising pipeline. Manage annual fund programs like the Sustaining Champions and Service Providers. Identify and build out new donor pipelines. Qualifications and Experience Commitment to social and economic equity Ability to work collaboratively among diverse stakeholder groups Proven experience with fundraising strategies and implementation Proven experience with managing large donors and campaigns A proven track record in successful institutional fundraising and relationship management in a virtual environment Experience working with volunteer board members to assist in fundraising High degree of familiarity and ability to work independently with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Donor management platforms, and social media platforms Extensive Experience in CRM management Comfortable working in a virtual environment across multiple time zones Excellent written communication and public speaking skills Hands-on, engaging leadership style Strategic thinker and builder Confident decision making High personal standard of ethics and accountability Commitment to continuous learning and personal mastery of new skills/knowledge Demonstrated ability to successfully work independently Entrepreneurial Mission driven with high expectations for the quality of service provided
Compensation and Benefits Status:
Full-time salaried status. (contractor/consultant applications will not be accepted)

  • DC/Maryland/Northern VA area but fully remote is possible.
