Job Description

Position Summary The Fundraising & Marketing Manager plans and implements fundraising, marketing, communications, and community engagement activities for the Children's Advocacy Center of Van Zandt County (CACVZC). Working closely with the Executive Director, this position increases financial support and community awareness, cultivates donor relationships, coordinates fundraising events, identifies new private funding opportunities, and promotes the Center's mission.   • Develop an annual fundraising plan.
  • Assist in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track contributions, pledges, and donor interactions.
  • Coordinate donor recognition and support online giving campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and staff to support fundraising goals and initiatives. Grants & Funding Opportunities
  • Research and pursue private foundation, corporate, and other funding opportunities that support CACVZC's operational costs and mission.
  • Identify opportunities that align with the Center's current needs, programs, and long-term sustainability goals.
  • Assist the Executive Director with preparing and submitting grant proposals and applications to private foundations and other potential funders.
  • Build relationships with private foundations, corporate partners, and other funders to expand and diversify the Center's financial support. Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and implement the Center's marketing and communications strategy.
  • Manage CACVZC's Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, including content promoting the Center's mission, programs, events, fundraising, and community engagement.
  • Maintain the CACVZC website with current organizational updates, events, fundraising information, and community resources.
  • Develop newsletters, brochures, event materials, donor communications, press releases, letters, and other promotional materials.
  • Maintain consistent organizational branding and messaging.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop strategic messaging for donor outreach, community awareness, and public engagement.
  • Coordinate media relations as appropriate.
  • Monitor monthly marketing effectiveness and audience engagement metrics and make recommendations for improvement. Special Events
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising and community events.
  • Manage event logistics, including vendors, venues, sponsors, volunteers or committees, and budgets.
  • Develop event materials and coordinate timely promotion and publicity across appropriate platforms.
  • Recruit and cultivate event sponsors and volunteers.
  • Evaluate event outcomes, including fundraising results and community engagement.
  • Coordinate the annual Casino Night Gala, or other major annual fundraiser, working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors Planning Chair on planning, sponsorships, logistics, promotion, and fundraising goals.
  • Coordinate April Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month fundraising activities or events that increase awareness and generate financial support for CACVZC, working with leadership and community partners as appropriate. Community Relations
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with community organizations, businesses, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent CACVZC publicly at community events and outreach opportunities as appropriate.
  • Attend community and networking events with fundraising, donor, sponsorship, or partnership opportunities and represent CACVZC to potential supporters.
  • Build relationships with local schools, student organizations, civic groups, and businesses to develop fundraising and in-kind donation opportunities for the Center.
  • Coordinate community donations for specific Center needs, such as snacks, beverages, supplies, or other items for children and families.
  • Work with school clubs and student organizations, such as National Honor Society, on fundraising or donation drives benefiting CACVZC. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business, public relations, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Fundraising, marketing, communications, donor relations, event planning, or nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Experience with donor databases/CRM systems, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a nonprofit organization or Children's Advocacy Center.
  • Experience with fundraising, donor cultivation, sponsorship development, and/or private grant writing.
  • CFRE certification or fundraising-related professional development.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Key Performance Indicators

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for fundraising events, community activities, or other organizational needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed for events and materials.

Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week Application Question(s): Do you have experience with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), editing/design tools such as Canva, and Microsoft Office? Do you have a valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed? Do you have excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills? Do you have experience with donor cultivation, sponsorship development, fundraising campaigns?
