Job Description Overview The Development Coordinator supports the execution of strategic fundraising initiatives led by the Chief Development Officer. This role provides administrative and operational support to the Development team, including maintaining the donor database, coordinating fundraising campaigns and events, and ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Support Donor stewardship through outreach and acknowledgements, conducting prospect research, assisting with grant preparation and reporting and contribute to major gifts and annual fund efforts. Provide back-up support for accounting reconciliation and help align development and finance operations. Utilize best practices to maintain the donor management database, including updating donor records, compiling biographical information, data entry, and report generation. Process incoming gifts (monetary, in-kind, grants, and sponsorships) and ensure that gifts are accurately recorded and thanked. Appropriately handle all donations as intended by the donor, accurately & timely. Track pledges and process monthly gifts to ensure on-time payment and troubleshoot as needed. Collaborate with the Marketing team to provide donor-related content for the preparation of the annual report and other projects as needed. Work with the institutional grants team to provide donor data on an ad-hoc basis. Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, such as receptions and gatherings, donor cultivation events, and annual fundraisers. Strong working knowledge of the goals of Arrow Child & Family Ministries. Occasionally represents Arrow at meetings and other community events. Must maintain confidentiality and be able to deal with highly confidential donor information and funds without compromise. Book and coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and itineraries. Manage and maintain calendars for Development leadership, including scheduling meetings and coordinating availability. Serve as a backup to the Development Manager for accounting reconciliation processes to support accurate financial reporting. Support donor stewardship through personalized outreach, acknowledgments, and engagement strategies. Conduct prospect research to identify, evaluate, and qualify new individual, corporate, and foundation donors. Pull and organize data for donor lists, mailings, and targeted fundraising campaigns. Coordinate introductory outreach and engagement efforts for new prospects and community contacts. Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards. May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training. Occasional Travel may be required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field required, and prior experience in a nonprofit fundraising position is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a history and working knowledge of best practices in gift processing, prospect, and donor data organization and reporting, and general fundraising knowledge.
