In this vital role, you will design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational initiatives that elevate nursing practice, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Your expertise will empower nursing staff to deliver exceptional resident care, stay current with evolving best practices, and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence nursing excellence on a broad scale, supporting both new hires and seasoned professionals in their professional growth. Duties Develop and deliver engaging educational programs tailored to diverse nursing roles, in long-term residential care environments. Assess the ongoing training needs of nursing staff through performance evaluations, feedback sessions, and industry trends analysis. Facilitate orientation sessions for new nurses, ensuring they are well-equipped with essential skills in electronic medical record documentation, HIPAA compliance, patient care protocols, and team management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of elder assessment and care, person-centered care philosophy, and medical records management to incorporate into training modules effectively. Collaborate with clinical leadership to design competency assessments that verify proficiency in critical areas such as communication, conflict management, coaching and mentoring, and care management of residents. Ensure all educational activities comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies related to patient safety and confidentiality. Track participation in training programs using detailed documentation systems and generate reports to measure program effectiveness and areas for improvement. Skills Proven background in nursing home or hospital environments with strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design. Experience in teaching within hospital settings or training & development roles that involve curriculum design, instructional delivery, and program evaluation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly and confidently to diverse audiences, and the ability to mentor, coach, and support professional development of nursing staff. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging training sessions utilizing adult learning strategies while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
