Job Description
$30-$32/hour | Part-Time with Path to Full-Time Radiant Kids Therapy is a local, therapist-owned and therapist-led pediatric practice that has been providing high-quality Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy services to children and families throughout San Diego County since 2018. We are excited to launch a new Infant Development Services / Early Start program , and we are seeking an experienced Senior Early Intervention Specialist (min. 3+ years of experience as an Early Interventionist/Child Development Specialist) to join us at the ground level of this expansion. Interested but don't have the required experience? Sometime later this year, we plan to hire and train additional Early Intervention Specialists with less experience as well, so if that's you, please keep your eyes out and come back later! This role offers a unique opportunity to help spearhead and shape a new program within an established, clinically driven company — with meaningful opportunities to grow alongside the program and take on increased responsibility as it develops.
THIS IS NOT AN ABA OR TEACHING POSITION.
Our model is developmental, play-based, and family-centered, with close collaboration alongside SLPs, OTs, and PTs . Position Overview The Senior Early Intervention Specialist provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth-36 months) under IFSPs, focusing on family coaching, routine-based strategies, and collaborative care. As a senior team member joining during the program's early stages, this role also contributes to program development, clinical consistency, and best practices , while remaining a direct-service, non-supervisory position. There is clear potential for growth into a future lead role as the Infant Development Services program expands. Services are provided primarily in the home setting and align with California Regional Center / Early Start (Part C) requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth-3 years) Coach and support families using relationship-based, routine-embedded strategies Implement IFSP goals in collaboration with caregivers and the interdisciplinary team Conduct developmental observations and contribute to progress monitoring Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Physical Therapists (PTs) for guidance and coordinated care Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development Complete timely, accurate documentation per program and regional center standards Contribute to program development, consistency, and best practices as a senior team member Support onboarding and informal mentorship of team members as the program grows (non-supervisory) Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Early Childhood Development, Child Development, Education, Psychology, or related field) or equivalent professional experience in early intervention (4+ years) Minimum of 3 years of professional, regional-center related early intervention experience (or min. 4 years without a Bachelor's degree) Experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families Strong understanding of family-centered and relationship-based early intervention Comfortable collaborating within an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy model Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Schedule Part-time with flexible scheduling Opportunity to increase hours and transition to full-time as the program grows Potential to grow into a lead-level role based on experience, interest, and program needs Pay & Benefits $30-$32 per hour , commensurate with experience Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance available when 20+ hours/week Paid drive time between sessions Paid admin time Mileage reimbursement Therapy materials budget 401(k) with employer matching Paid Time Off Flexible schedule Professional development opportunities Ongoing training, mentorship, and clinical collaboration with SLPs, OTs, and PTs Supportive, therapist-led work environment focused on sustainability and quality care Why Radiant Kids Therapy? Radiant Kids Therapy is a local, therapist-owned and led company, not a big corporation. We combine the stability of an established pediatric practice with the excitement of thoughtful growth. This role is ideal for an experienced early intervention professional who wants to help build something meaningful while being supported by a strong interdisciplinary team. Apply today by submitting your resume. A cover letter highlighting your early intervention experience and interest in program development is encouraged.Job Type:
