Responsibilities In accordance with the California Standards of the Teaching Profession, evaluators work under central office administrators and are responsible for the fulfillment of the essential duties set forth below:LIST JOB DUTIES BELOW
Provide support in communicating and using State and District Assessment materials, analysis tools and best practices in assessment administration. Provide professional development in assessment administration and data analysis. Support staff in accessing testing platforms, data and/or productivity applications such as: DnA, Test Operations Management System (TOMS), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Google Applications and multiple web-based data systems. Support educators in analyzing reports to inform instruction and site-level planning. Lead professional development activities related to administration, scoring/calibration and analysis of state/district assessments. Proven ability to communicate verbal and written instructions and important information. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications SFUSD requires those applying to be an Evaluator to hold a valid California teaching credential and an English Learner or Bilingual Authorization, along with the following: Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential or Administrative Credential. Five+ years of recent teaching experience with demonstrated effectiveness in teaching. Outstanding and/or Highly Satisfactory Summary Evaluations. At least 1 years of experience utilizing data systems and providing support/professional development to site staff. Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and English Language Arts. Knowledge of the role of assessments within pedagogical principles and practices. Experience assisting school sites (parents, teachers, and administrators) in understanding data reports and supporting schools in data-driven decision making. Successful experience working with adult learners through group facilitation and conducting professional development. Excellent skills in communication, organization, and time management. Record of positive demeanor and collaborative success. An Evaluator in the Achievement Assessments Office(AAO) supports the implementation of the SFUSD Learning-Based Assessment System, which outlines how standards and curriculum, effective instructional practices, and assessment fit together to support all students in meeting grade-level expectations. Specifically, the evaluator will support implementation of State and District Assessments in SFUSD.
