Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a Full-Time Development Coordinator to join our team in downtown Santa Barbara . The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Director of Development with all aspects of Development. This position includes occasional travel to other agency locations throughout Santa Barbara County. This is a great opportunity to work in a nonprofit that serves youth, families, and adults dealing with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, where you will gain valuable experience while making a meaningful impact!Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in development or fundraising required. A minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating and planning events required. A minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or administrative experience required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information required, as evidenced through past work experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills required as evidenced in the interview. Familiarity with the Santa Barbara philanthropic community and funding sources for non-profits preferred. Experience with graphic design software preferred. Experience with donor databases preferred.Responsibilities:
Maintain the DonorPerfect database, ensuring accurate donor, gift, pledge, grant, and event records. Prepare and send timely gift acknowledgments, receipts, pledge letters, and donor correspondence. Respond promptly to donor inquiries, including donation details, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and tax documentation. Support fundraising campaigns and special events, including list preparation, tracking, and reporting. Conduct basic prospect research and maintain updated donor and constituent records. Assist with development communications, including Constant Contact, social media, and website content support. This is a non-exempt, full-time position that includes medical/vision/dental benefits, vacation, sick, and holiday pay. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.Salary range:
$25- 27, dependent on qualifications and experience In compliance with the California Department of Health Care Services, staff require an up-to-date Tuberculosis test during the duration of employment.
