Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Credentialing Specialist, under the supervision of the Physician Services & Recruitment Supervisor, performs a variety of duties in support of the Physician Services Department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Formal training which will be indicated by a high school diploma, and a minimum of 8-10 years health care credentialing experience or college degree in health care administration or related area. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work independently, be detail oriented, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of credentialing software a plus and must possess a valid Kentucky Driver s License.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; use basic office equipment and perform repetitive motions. Must have visual and auditory acuity and be able to drive an automobile.
