Job Description

Who we are Amethyst Recovery Solutions is a Recovery Community Organization that was started by four best friends who wanted to create an ecosystem of people in recovery that prioritizes three simple things: community involvement, human connection, and fun in recovery. We are an innovative, person-centered organization that prides itself on providing a high level of service and care to the individuals we serve. Since Amethyst Recovery Solutions' inception, we are grateful to have been a part of Substance Use Disorder recovery based research, technology, events, advocacy, and now peer support-helping to bridge the gap between the clinical and the recovery community. Thus, making recovery from substance use disorder not just possible, but probable. Who We Are Looking For Amethyst Recovery Solutions is looking for ambitious individuals that are in recovery with a passion for helping people. We are currently searching for certified peer recovery coaches to venture into this exciting career in the recovery community. The role includes, but is not limited to, advocacy, connection to services, recovery assessments/plans, wellness plans, and SMART goal setting. Role and Responsibilities Provide 1:1 Peer mentoring and a strength-based approach for identified participants on a regular or as needed basis Offer support to clients by helping them complete forms, making phone calls on their behalf, and accompanying them to appointments or court appearances. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for all contact, communication, and services rendered with clients Meet with CPRS supervisor weekly for supervision Mentor through self-disclosure of personal recovery experiences Accompany persons and/or help schedule activities that support recovery such as self-help groups, obtaining sponsorship Assistance accessing resources to obtain housing, employment, education, and advocacy Ensure the delivery of ethically sound services and consistently model wellness for those receiving support Maintain active CPRS certification Qualifications Minimum one year freedom from chemical use problems (including drugs, alcohol) High school diploma or jurisdictionally certified high school equivalency Active standing as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) through the state of Minnesota Ability to successfully complete background check process Must possess a MN state driver's license or be willing to transfer out of state license to MN state driver's license Must have reliable transportation, driver's license, and active car insurance Compensation & Benefits Pay Starting at $22 W2 Employment Benefits Flexible schedule Ongoing training and professional development Health, vision, dental, and 401k eligibility

REQUIRES
an active CPRS Certification (certified peer recovery specialist - this is not the same as a CPR certification). Have you completed the 46 hour peer support training and passed the test to obtain the CPRS certificate through the Minnesota Certification Board (MCB)?
