Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist- OR and Holding Room.
Job Responsibilities:
Fosters a culture embedded in NYULHs tripartite mission: to care, to teach, and to discover. (AONL-Knowledge of the Health Care Environment, ANPD- Leader) Collaborates with interprofessional team to ensure excellence in quality, patient experience, and efficiency.
- Advocate for NPD Specialty) Collaborates with patient care unit leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies as pertains to staff education and competencies.
- Leader) Communicates with clarity and integrity to build trust with all stakeholders. Provides education and resources that facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and ethical care for patients. (AONL-Professionalism) (AONL-Communication & Relationship Management, ANPD
- Leader) Participates in the drafting of nursing and organizational policy, engaging front-line staff, and incorporating the precepts of shared governance.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in York State Master's degree in nursing education Certification in Nursing Education required upon eligibility Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion to address patient/family satisfaction and quality indicators. Evidence of excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills. Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association Three to five years of clinical experience in a specialty area, or combination of staff nurse/leadership experience in the specialty area..Required Licenses:
