Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: Executive Director Development Coordinator Are you a skilled grant writer who wants your work to fuel real community change? As ACF's Development Coordinator, grant writing is at the heart of the role. You will research funders, write proposals and letters of inquiry, and produce the reports that keep our funding flowing. You will also run the operational backbone of our fundraising: donor stewardship, database management, and event logistics. If you write persuasively, manage deadlines independently, and care about the mission, we want to hear from you.

On-site at Garden Oaks Community Center, with occasional off-site donor and funder meetings
Schedule:
Full-time. primarily weekday business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends for programs and community events. About This Role The Development Coordinator leads ACF's grant writing and oversees the operational infrastructure of our fundraising and donor relations functions. Core responsibilities include researching and writing grant proposals and reports, grant compliance, donor communications and stewardship, database management, and fundraising event logistics. The ideal candidate is a strong grant writer who manages competing deadlines independently, maintains meticulous records, and handles sensitive information with discretion. Primary Responsibilities Grant Writing, Management and Reporting (35%) Research prospective foundation, corporate, and government funders and maintain a pipeline tracker Write grant proposals and letters of inquiry, tailoring each to the funder's priorities and guidelines Maintain a master calendar of all grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal dates Write grant reports using program data provided by the Program Coordinator and Executive Director Assemble grant application attachments: budgets, financials, board lists, letters of support, and IRS determination letter Track grant expenditures against budgets and flag variances to the Executive Director Donor Communications and Stewardship (25%) Send acknowledgment letters for all gifts within 72 hours of receipt Draft donor communications: thank-you letters, impact updates, annual appeal letters, and newsletters Maintain donor recognition lists and ensure funders receive proper credit in public materials, signage, and annual reports Coordinate annual report content, gathering program data, photos, quotes, and financial summaries Manage recurring donor program communications and retention outreach Database and Records Management (20%) Maintain the donor and funder database (CRM): data entry, gift processing, contact updates, and list management Generate donor reports, giving summaries, and

lists for the Executive Director and Board Ensure all donor and funder interactions are logged accurately Maintain organized electronic files for every grant, including applications, reports, correspondence, and budgets Fundraising Event Support (10%) Coordinate logistics for the annual gala, golf tournament, monthly fundraisers, and other fundraising activities Manage guest lists, sponsorship tracking, auction/donation procurement, and post-event follow-up Track event revenue and expenses and prepare post-event reports for the Board Other (10%) Support the Executive Director with board meeting preparation, including development dashboards and fundraising updates Represent ACF at community events and funder meetings when the Executive Director is unavailable Assist with other duties as assigned by the
Executive Director Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing, nonprofit management, public administration, business, or a related field. An associate degree plus four or more years of directly relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Minimum two years in fundraising or nonprofit development, including direct grant writing experience. Experience in a nonprofit environment is required.
Grant Writing:
Demonstrated experience writing successful grant proposals and reports for foundation, corporate, or government funders. Applicants will be asked to provide a writing sample.
Writing:
Strong professional writing and editing skills, with the ability to draft grant proposals, grant reports, donor correspondence, and public communications.
Technology:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets and word processing. Experience with a donor database or CRM system.
Organization:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain accurate records, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Confidentiality:
Ability to handle sensitive donor, financial, and organizational information with discretion.
Transportation:
Valid Oklahoma driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional funder meetings and events. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience A track record of securing five- and six-figure grants from foundation or government funders Familiarity with Oklahoma's philanthropic landscape, including community foundations, family foundations, and corporate giving programs Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar) Experience producing annual reports or donor impact reports Knowledge of fund accounting basics, or willingness to learn Interest in pursuing CFRE certification (not required) What We Offer Competitive nonprofit salary of $65,000 Ownership of the grant writing function, with direct impact on the programs your work funds Paid time off and paid holidays Professional development support, including interest in CFRE certification Meaningful, visible community impact in a collaborative, mission-driven environment About Alpha Community Foundation of Oklahoma Alpha Community Foundation of Oklahoma (ACF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates the Garden Oaks Community Center, a 27,000-square-foot former elementary school in Northeast Oklahoma City that we acquired and renovated into a hub for youth education, workforce development, health and wellness, senior services, and community events.
