Job Description

Full-Time Associate Grant Writer Wanted MJH Grants, LLC is seeking a full-time Associate Grant Writer to join our growing business. Share your talent and ideas to reach your full potential! We are a small firm that provides professional grant writing services to nonprofits around the country and the world. Responsibilities Research, write and develop grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other funding requests for various clients. Attend regular staff meetings, follow operational policies and procedures for prospect researching, proposal development, and pipeline tracking and management. Follow internal policies and procedures. Work well both individually and as a team on grant development projects. Maintain proposal records/electronic files in grant data storage program used by MJH Grants, following precise storage and naming protocols. Conduct all work in a professional and timely manner. Regular reporting and proposal monitoring are also required, following established procedures. Research new funding opportunities and track submissions through decisions in the company database. Knowledge/Experience A BS/BA degree with a major in English or related field; one to three years of grant writing experience preferred, though willing to train. Excellent writing and verbal communication. Strong time management, organizational, and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and Google Docs software. Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task responsibilities. Ability to think systemically, creatively, and independently. High ethical standards, honesty, kindness, and respect for others. Flexibility and an ability to work well under pressure. Emotional Intelligence and a good sense of humor is preferred. Additional Information This position is a full-time, hybrid job in West Newton, Massachusetts, close to public transportation (bus, Commuter Rail) from Boston and Waltham. Salary is commensurate with experience and all applicants will be asked to submit a writing sample and take some short tests on MS Office products. Although health benefits are not included, we do offer two weeks of paid vacation per year, paid federal and state holidays, a 401(k) plan, and a 9-hour workday Monday-Thursday and 4-hour workday on Friday work schedule. All workers work remotely on Fridays and after one year of employment employees gain an additional remote workday during the week.
