Full-Time | Exempt Position Summary Pinball PA Arcade and Museum, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking a dynamic, creative, and mission-driven Fundraising Coordinator / Grant Writer to help sustain and grow one of Pennsylvania's largest and most unique cultural attractions. With over 400 pinball machines and classic video games, Pinball PA serves as both a vibrant arcade and an interactive museum dedicated to preserving gaming history, educating the public, and creating joyful community experiences for all ages. This role is critical in advancing the museum's financial sustainability through strategic grant writing and a strong emphasis on securing corporate donations and sponsorships . Corporate partnerships are vital for a nonprofit like Pinball PA, providing essential funding for operations, new machine acquisitions, exhibit development, educational programming, restoration projects, and community outreach. The successful candidate will play a key role in building meaningful relationships with corporations that align with our mission of cultural preservation, STEAM education, and community engagement. You'll be the face in board rooms selling Pinball PA. Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Writing & Management Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies (local, state, and federal), and cultural/heritage funders. Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, budgets, and progress reports that highlight Pinball PA's cultural significance, educational impact, and community value. Manage the full grant lifecycle, including tracking deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting. Collaborate with museum staff and leadership to gather stories, outcomes, photos, and data on visitor impact, educational programs, and preservation efforts. Fundraising Coordination Lead efforts to acquire corporate donations and sponsorships, developing tailored proposals and partnership packages that deliver mutual value to corporate partners and the museum. Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns, membership drives, donor appeals, and special events (e.g.galas, or sponsor nights) with a focus on corporate engagement. Manage donor and membership databases, ensuring accurate records, timely acknowledgments, and strong stewardship. Prepare regular fundraising reports and impact updates for leadership and the board, highlighting corporate giving outcomes. Coordinate with marketing teams to develop engaging fundraising materials, newsletters, and social media content that showcase corporate partnership opportunities and successes. General Development Support Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate partners , foundations, and community organizations in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. Proactively identify and cultivate corporate sponsorship opportunities aligned with Pinball PA's mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Stay informed on trends in cultural heritage, arts, education, museum funding, and corporate social responsibility. Contribute to special projects such as capital campaigns for facility expansion, machine acquisitions, or exhibit enhancements. Qualifications & Requirements Professional grant writing or fundraising experience with a demonstrated record of securing grants or corporate donations (cultural, educational, or community-focused preferred). Proven experience or strong interest in cultivating corporate donations and sponsorships. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills — ability to make pinball and retro gaming history come alive on paper for both grantmakers and corporate partners. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Experience with donor/CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce, Little Green Light, or similar). Passion for museums, cultural preservation, gaming history, or community engagement. Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with museums, historical societies, arts organizations, or educational nonprofits. Knowledge of Pennsylvania and federal cultural/heritage grant programs and corporate giving programs. Familiarity with retro gaming, pinball culture, or STEAM education initiatives. Graphic design or proposal formatting skills.
