Paid $20/hour Disability Rights Ohio is a nonprofit organization committed to advocating for an equitable Ohio for people with disabilities. We provide a collaborative, supportive, mission-focused work environment. Position Summary The Grant Development Intern will support the organization's fundraising efforts by assisting with grant research, proposal writing, and development operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and an opportunity to contribute to securing funding that advances the organization's mission. Key Responsibilities Research prospective funders, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies Identify grant opportunities aligned with organizational programs and priorities Create a grants database to track grant opportunities Assist in drafting and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports Compile and organize supporting materials (budgets, program descriptions, data) Maintain grant tracking systems, calendars, and deadlines Support reporting and compliance requirements for awarded grants Attend development team meetings and strategy sessions Work with Communications team and draft fundraising documents Perform other related duties as assigned Learning Opportunities Interns will gain experience in: Grant writing fundamentals and proposal development Funder research and relationship strategy Nonprofit fundraising operations Data storytelling and program impact Collaboration across program and development teamsQualifications Required:
Current student or recent graduate in nonprofit management, public administration, communications, English, business, or related field Strong writing, editing, and research skills Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesPreferred:
