The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching funding sources, preparing compelling grant proposals, managing submission timelines, and maintaining relationships with funders. This position carries a performance expectation of securing and/or contributing significantly to the acquisition of at least $500,000 in grant funding annually . Key Responsibilities Grant Research & Development Research and identify local, state, federal, corporate, and private foundation grant opportunities aligned with Care Nest Homes' mission. Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and funding pipeline. Evaluate grant opportunities and determine organizational eligibility and competitiveness. Proposal Writing & Submission Develop compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, applications, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with leadership and program staff to gather data, budgets, program narratives, and outcomes. Ensure all proposals are submitted accurately and on time. Customize applications to meet funder requirements and priorities. Grant Management Track grant submissions, awards, reporting requirements, and deadlines. Prepare grant reports, progress updates, and compliance documentation. Maintain grant records and funding databases. Relationship Management Build and maintain relationships with foundation representatives, government agencies, and corporate giving programs. Attend relevant meetings, webinars, and networking events to identify funding opportunities. Represent Care Nest Homes professionally with funding partners and stakeholders. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of successful grant writing experience. Demonstrated track record of securing grant funding from foundations, corporations, and/or government agencies. Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
