Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to support our housing programs. This role is responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding that supports housing initiatives, including affordable housing, homelessness prevention, and community development.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private funding sources Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports Collaborate with program staff to gather data, budgets, and program details Ensure all grant submissions meet compliance requirements and deadlines Track grant applications, awards, and reporting timelines Maintain a database of funding opportunities and submitted proposals Assist in developing funding strategies for housing-related programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in housing, nonprofit, or social services sectors Strong writing, editing, and research skills Knowledge of housing programs, homelessness services, or community development is a plus Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management tools
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with California housing grants and funding sources Experience working with government agencies and nonprofit organizations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Join us in making a meaningful difference by securing vital resources that support affordable housing solutions. Pay:
$25.00 per hour
