Job Description

Job Summary:
The Grants Manager is a member of the Development Team and is a liaison between the organization and its grants, foundations, and contract funders. The Grants Manager is responsible for researching, preparing, writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports supporting agency goals and meeting funder guidelines and criteria. This individual serves as the primary grant writer, manages funder relationships, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives. The position requires strong writing, budgeting, data analysis, and project management skills. Position salary wage starting at $64,350 - $68,500 and commensurate with experince. Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Lead, in partnership with the executive director, proposal development and submission - preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring applications, including: Researching new funding and business development opportunities on local, state, and federal levels; Drafting proposals, grant applications, and budgets and collaborating to finalize with program staff and the Executive Director; Submitting grant applications via paper or online portals and maintaining a list of passwords and websites; Maintaining a master list of grants and prospects and all associated files, dates, deadlines, and correspondences; Developing and maintaining a library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, forms, Board/staff lists, etc.; Facilitate grant contracts agreements; Ensuring acknowledgment of funders/grantors per contract agreement Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budgets: Monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements; Tracking progress toward organizational and programmatic outcomes and goals; Drafting progress reports and targets program updates; Assembling all supporting materials and documents including budget reports, outcome measurements, and success stories, and submit reports to funders. Researching statics, trends, and data for grant proposals; Performing research and data gathering All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals outside the organization. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop long-range objectives and specify strategies to achieve them. Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience utilizing a relationship management CRM.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education:
Associate's degree
Minimum Experience:
5 years experience in proven/successful grant writing and grant program development/management
Preferred Experience:
5 years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. State and Federal grant experience helpful
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Position can be physically demanding - employee must have the ability to lift 10 to 15 pounds. On occasion, employees may be asked to lift up to 50 pounds Position may require employee to sit and stand for long periods of time Position may require exposure to the elements: rain, snow, wind, etc.
Pay:
$64,350.00 - $68,500.00 per year
