Grantwriter/Grant Coordinator Description:
Arts|Learning (A|L) is a nonprofitanization that supports the inclusion of aplete public Arts Education (dance, media arts, music, drama/theatre, and visual arts) for every preK-12 student in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We work towards this goal through advocating at the state and local levels, collaborating with other artsanizations and institutions and supporting arts educators with guidance and resources for best practices in arts education. Job Summary The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, developing, and writing proposals and other written materials to secure funding for program and operating support. The focus is on corporate and private foundations, as well as state and federal grants. This position will be guided by and report to the Resource Development Committee and the Executive Director. .Responsibilities Research and identify prospective grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, etc. Develop, write, and submit grant proposals, applications, and supporting materials. Collaborate with the treasurer, executive director, and the Resource Development Committee to gather data, budgets, oues, and existing program information and narratives for proposals. Maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and submission schedules. Prepare and submit grant reports, including program oues, financial updates, and impact statements. Manage relationships with funders and respond to requests for additional information. Ensurepliance with grant requirements, regulations, and reporting obligations. Create a database in order to maintain and track accurate records of grant activities, submissions, awards, and correspondence. Monitor trends in philanthropy and funding priorities relevant to theanization's mission. Assist with broader fundraising and development initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or related work. Knowledge of and experience with nonprofit fundraising Strong written, editing, and proofreading skills. Excellent research and analytical abilities. Stronganizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with appropriate digital management databases and other appropriate software systems Preferred Bachelor's degree Experience with foundation, corporate, and government grants. Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and best practices. Track record of securing grant funding. Work Environment Part-time position Remote, with regularly scheduled meetings as needed with the Executive Director and/or Resource Development Committee Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines
