Position Summary The General Manager will lead our Wasilla-based operations, guiding a talented team that repairs and services rotating equipment for customers across the state. In this full-time, in-person role, you'll balance big-picture strategy with hands-on leadership. You'll oversee operations, sales, and financial performance while cultivating a strong, people-first culture rooted in Impel's core values. You'll also collaborate closely with regional and corporate teams to ensure Roteq thrives today and grows for tomorrow. This position is ideal for someone who has a strong shop/repair background specifically with pumps and enjoys finding solutions to challenges. Pay depends on experience. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. What You'll Do Lead with Purpose Translate Impel's mission and regional strategy into clear goals and actionable business plans for your team Drive top-line growth through new business development, cross-selling across Impel brands, and expanding market share Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance planning for sales, revenue, and profit Use data and operational dashboards to monitor KPIs and ensure consistent execution against goals Drive Operations Oversee daily shop operations, field service, and shop production with an eye for safety, quality, and efficiency Quote and approve large shop jobs Manage the P&L, controlling expenses and improving margins while ensuring sustainable growth Partners with HR and Finance to ensure compliance, training, and employee development are on point Keep systems running smoothly, from forecasting and scheduling to resource planning and customer satisfaction Empower People Lead and inspire a team that's proud to represent Roteq Mentor employees and foster professional growth through coaching and collaboration Celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and build a workplace where people want to stay and succeed Connect and Grow Strengthen relationships with key customers, vendors, and community partners Identify opportunities for cross-selling and collaboration within the broader Impel network Represent Roteq at local industry and community events as a trusted partner and problem-solver What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations or Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience At least 5 years of leadership experience in operations, technical services, or construction management At least 5 years of direct work with rotating equipment Proven track record of managing budgets, improving performance, and leading teams to success Strong communication skills and a knack for building relationships Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with data-driven decision-making tools A hands-on leadership style; someone who's as comfortable in the field as in the boardroom
Other Requirements:
Occasional statewide travel (we cover a big territory!) Sitting and standing frequently, must be able to navigate a shop floor Must pass the following pre-employment screenings: a criminal background check, credit report check, motor vehicle report, and drug test
