Job Description

Description Job Summary The Acting General Manager provides interim leadership and operational oversight for hotels within an assigned ownership portfolio. This role assumes full General Manager responsibilities during leadership transitions, special projects, performance improvement initiatives, or other business needs. The Acting General Manager partners closely with ownership, corporate teams, and hotel associates to drive operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional guest experiences across assigned properties.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 4-6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field Experience as a General Manager highly preferred. Multi-brand leadership experience preferred. Comfortable with frequent travel and temporary assignments within an assigned ownership portfolio. Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing applications. Must have a valid driver's license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership:
Assume full responsibility for hotel operations, ensuring compliance with company, ownership, and brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Financial Performance:
Drive revenue growth, expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and overall profitability to achieve ownership and company objectives.
Sales & Business Development:
Partner with sales and revenue teams to maximize market performance, strengthen client relationships, and identify growth opportunities.
Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, coach, and develop hotel leadership teams while fostering associate engagement, accountability, and a culture of service excellence.
Ownership & Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as the primary liaison with ownership groups, brand representatives, corporate leaders, and key business partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Transition & Stabilization Management:
Provide leadership during management transitions, hotel openings, renovations, operational challenges, and special assignments to ensure business continuity and successful outcomes.
